MidCoast Junior Golf Association was founded in 1992 as a non-profit organization to develop, support
and promote the game of Golf among young players in the MidCoast region of Maine. We are an official
IRS 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization. Our programs operate from Boothbay to Belfast. Our Board of
Trustees is comprised of Golf Professionials at our host facilities and citizen-enthusiasts of the
game.
All of us are volunteers. 100% of our fees & and your donations go into our programs. Our Members
each season are the junior golfers who pay a small fee to participate. Scholarships and grants are
available. We are always looking for new members and adults who would like to help us expand
and improve our programs. Come give us some of your time; it's darn good fun!
We are very grateful for, and could never be successful without, the generous contributions of private golf courses, and their Professionals, which host our tournaments and contribute
to our programs. We are also very grateful for our generous group of Sponsors,
and the fine support of the USGA and the PGA.
MCJGA is a private, charitable organization whose mission is to promote the great game of golf among juniors in our region.
Our programs include (click Events for schedule):

- Fun tournaments in different formats.
- Free instruction throughout the summer.
- Series of competitive tournaments in three brackets with trophies for 1st - 3rd places and prize certificates good at partner club Pro shops.
- Annual banquet for members and families.
Membership in MCJGA is open to junior golfers aged 18 or under as of the first competitive event of the season. Dues are $25 per year.
For a $5 entry fee (each event), members may compete in our summer Tournament Series, offered in three divisions based on ability.
Proper dress, golf manners, proper etiquette and good grooming are required at all times, both on and off the course for all Members and spectators.
At the end of the tournament season, Members and their families attend our annual Awards Banquet where tons of great gear is given away in our exciting Members' Raffle.
MCJGA offers assistance in two areas: (1) Memberships to MCJGA and entry fees to our events (2) grants to help with equipment, access to facilities and instruction. There are no forms to fill out. See your local Pro, or write us at info@mcjga.com.
